An arson suspect identified in a recent incident at PNC Bank has been linked to a prior case, according to authorities.
According to court documents, Reyes ignited a fire on the bank's drive-thru tube controller pedestal. The incident was reported by the bank manager, but since the fire had already been extinguished by bank employees, no immediate response was made by the Austin Police Department. The AFD Lieutenant observed in the video that Reyes, wearing khaki shorts and no shirt—similar attire noted during his earlier detention—approached the drive-thru lanes. Reyes was captured on video inserting a burning object into the bank’s pedestal, causing the fire. Witnesses and the bank complainant corroborated Reyes’ presence and actions."Take me to jail" and "arrest me" three times in Spanish while standing by the bank’s window.
