He was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday
The Glasgow Times previously reported that a 34-year-old man had allegedly been assaulted on Glassford Street between Wilson Street and Trongate in the early hours of Sunday, December 18.
He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he received treatment for his 'serious' injuries. Following a police appeal for information, a 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
