Charlottetown Police Services arrested a 30-year-old man following the search of a vehicle in the city on Nov. 8. ContributedCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A man is charged with firearm and drug offences after police searched a vehicle in Charlottetown on Wednesday, Nov. 8.
Officers executed the search warrant in relation to an ongoing drug investigation. A man was arrested, and officers found a gun and ammunition. As a result of the investigation, the 30-year-old man is facing six counts of firearm-related offences, including unlawful possession of a restricted weapon, unlawful transportation of a restricted weapon, unlawful possession of a restricted weapon with ammunition, possession of a restricted weapon without a license, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and possession of a weapon while prohibited.
