A man was arrested on Monday, May 29, in connection with a series of car fires in the Sunland-Tujunga area.
The man was taken into custody after allegedly setting a truck on fire at Haines Canyon Avenue and Foothill Boulevard. A report on Fox11 aired May 29 included a resident’s Ring camera showing the suspect, on bicycle, placing something on the hood of a blue truck and then setting it on fire.Aaron Halverson, Los Angeles City Fire Department, Fire Captain II for Station 74, said in recent months the department has responded to more than 20 calls involving single-car fires.
