Man charged with murder for killing a woman in Cedar Park
Cedar Park Police has taken the suspect, Bradley Stanford, 23, into custody for murdering Akira Ross, 24.On Friday, June 2, Cedar Park Police got a call about a shooting incident at 12020 N. FM 620.
According to a press release, when officers arrived they found Ross deceased in the parking lot. An initial investigation revealed Stanford and Ross did not know each other. However, there was a verbal exchange between Stanford and Ross in the parking lot outside of her car before Stanford fatally shot Ross and fled the scene in his vehicle.
Cedar Park Police Department obtained information about Stanford potentially leaving the area and Criminal Investigation Division tracked his location to Ingleside, Texas. Police took Stanford into custody at 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2023, and another department that assisted was the San Patricio County Tactical Response Team. Stanford has been booked into the San Patricio County Jail.Cedar Park PD would like to thank the following assisting agencies: Ingleside Police Department, Aransas Pass Police Department, and San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office.
