SINGAPORE – A 40-year-old man was arrested for public nuisance after he allegedly assaulted a cleaner and five parkgoers at Punggol Park on Monday morning.According to the worker, the man followed a park cleaner, who is in his 70s, to the public toilet. They reportedly broke into a fight after the cleaner told the man off for interrupting his work.
Five parkgoers, including an 86-year-old man and four women, heard the commotion and tried to approach the pair to break up the fight. But they were also hit by the man, who was throwing punches in all directions, said the eyewitness.In response to The Straits Times’ query, Singapore Civil Defence Force and the police said they received a call for assistance at about 8am.
