Two bodies have been recovered from a river in Swansea after a car was found in the water during the early hours of Christmas morning

Emergency services were called out to the scene at New Cut Road in South Wales and arrived at around 3am on Sunday December 25. No other vehicles are believed to be involved in the incident but investigations are still ongoing.Detective Inspector Sharon Gill-Lewis said: “South Wales Police was called around 3.05am this morning, Christmas Day, following reports that a car had gone into the River Tawe at New Cut Road, Swansea.
"Their next of kin are being informed and enquiries are continuing to ascertain the full circumstances behind the incident. The incident is ongoing at the scene and no further detail is available at this time.”
