In the morning she swam to shore, climbed up a cliff and made her way to a farmhouse where she received assistance. In a verdict handed down Wednesday, the judge noted that the testimony was the cornerstone of the Crown case. In addition to inconsistencies in her testimony, the judge noted other reliability problems related to the dark conditions, the fast unfolding of events and the fact that she feared for her life and Regner’s life.
As the verdict was read out, Drynock nodded as he sat in the prisoner’s dock in the courtroom and took a sip from a bottle of water.
