Sheriff Tom Hughes set a trial date for September.
A man will stand trial accused of choking a sleeping woman and claiming someone was going to attack her.Court papers state that the alleged offences happened at various locations in Glasgow between September 2021 and January 2022.It is alleged that Maguire attempted to control her movement and socialisation with other people.
The charges goes on to say that in September 2021, he seized her on the body and neck then threw her on to the floor.The papers further state that Maguire threatened to disclose intimate pictures of her without consent.He is said to have also repeatedly phoned and send text messages to her.He is stated to have accessed and interrogated her mobile phone.Allegations say that he repeatedly shook her, threw her on to the floor and threw her on to a couch.
He is stated to have gone on to shout and swear at her, spit on her face then strike her with his hand. The charge claims Maguire advised her that an"unnamed person was attending to assault her", refused to allow her to leave the premises and locked the door.Maguire is alleged to have seized her by the neck and face and applied pressure to it before damaging her phone as well as throw it out the window.Maguire features on two other charges which say he breached his undertaking conditions by contacting her.
