A man born with a rare facial condition has told of how he was rejected by his biological parents for a second time after they gave him up at birth.
Jono, from West Yorkshire, has described how Jean, now 81, made him the person he is today. The adoptive single mother has taken on other children with disabilities over the years. “Two weeks later we got a letter back and simply said: ‘Regarding this subject, we do not want any contact and further attempts will be ignored’ and they both had signed it," he said. “It hurt, but I took pride in that I tried and with that support that I had around me and the mindset that I had, I went on in life full of love and grateful for the life that they gave me.”
