The Health and Safety Executive says, based on the number of accidents every year, cows are the most dangerous animals in the UK with mainly farm workers and walkers falling victim
The 82-year-old man and his wife were walking at Ivescar, near Ingleton, at around 1.45pm on Saturday when the tragedy happened, North Yorkshire Police said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene while his 78-year-old wife was taken to hospital by air ambulance. A police spokeswoman said:"An 82-year-old man, from Foulridge, Pendle, sadly died yesterday after being attacked by a herd of cows."Advertisement.
