Awful news this evening 😔
A 44-year-old man has died after being hit by a lorry on a road in the east end of Glasgow this morning.
The pedestrian was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was pronounced dead following the incident on Duke Street, near to its junction with Bellfield Street, at around 10.40am on June 1. The incident prompted a huge emergency service response with multiple police vehicles at the scene and road closures in place - the road has since re-opened.
