Mamelodi Sundowns forward has found a new home, as he looks set to complete his fourth consecutive loan away from Chloorkop.

Mamelodi Sundowns striker Etiosa Ighodaro while on loan at SuperSport United Image via @OfficialPSL on XAmaZulu has made a significant move to strengthen their forward line for the upcoming 2024/2025 Betway Premiership season by securing Sundowns forward Etiosa Ighodaro on a season-long loan deal.

In preparation for the new season, Usuthu is aiming to build upon their 11th-place finish last year with strategic player acquisitions and departures. The club recently bid farewell to key players such as George Maluleka, Augustine Kwem, Veluyeke Zulu, and Victor Letsoalo, the latter of whom moved to TS Galaxy. Of note, Kwem departed despite finishing as AmaZulu’s top scorer with eight goals in 28 games last season.

According to sources familiar with the deal, AmaZulu views Mamelodi Sundowns target man Ighodaro as a crucial addition to fill the void left by Letsoalo and Kwem. The club anticipates a standout season from Ighodaro, provided he maintains his fitness and avoids injuries. In addition to securing Ighodaro, AmaZulu FC has bolstered their squad further by welcoming Luvuyo Phewa on loan from Sundowns.

for the 2024/2025 season. Seabi has faced challenges securing regular playing time since joining Sundowns from Polokwane City in 2019, making just four appearances last season as a substitute. “Sammy Seabi’s loan spell at Sekhukhune United during the 2022/23 season demonstrated his potential and versatility in midfield,” noted his agent, Mike Makaab. “Discussions are ongoing to arrange a loan move that will provide him with more playing opportunities and aid in his development.”Looking ahead, AmaZulu FC is not only focusing on strengthening their squad but also on developing a cohesive strategy for success in the upcoming season.
