Mamelodi Sundowns have taken a rather surprise decision on the future of a player that hasn’t played for the club in almost two years.
The skillful winger made just four appearances in the second half of the 2021/22 season while making six more appearances in the next season.Saavedra’s miserable time in South Africa appeared to be up with Mamelodi Sundowns deciding to send their injury-prone winger back home, on a loan deal to his former side Bolivar in January 2024.
DStv Diski Challenge coach Sinethemba Badela also left the club and has already linked up with Mokwena at new club Wydad Athletic Club as his assistant coach.
