SuperSport United has announced the signing of promising defender Rayden De Reuck from Young Bafana. The 19-year-old, who is the younger brother of Sundowns defender Rushine De Reuck, will join the DStv Diski Challenge squad with hopes of breaking into the senior team under head coach Gavin Hunt.
Mamelodi Sundowns star’s brother, Rayden De Reuck, also recently participated in an Amajita training camp under coach Raymond Mdaka, where he showcased his potential in South African football.In related news, SuperSport United assistant coach Andre Arendse has clarified the circumstances surrounding Gavin Hunt’s red card during the MTN8 quarter-final against Orlando Pirates.
Arendse also highlighted the challenges of officiating in a high-paced game. “When the game is played at such a massive pace, you’ve got to keep up with that. It becomes critical for both sides. This time around, it was one that heavily affected us because we were still in the game.”
