Mamelodi Sundowns go down in AFL final first leg in Casablanca!

Mamelodi Sundowns will have to turn a 2-1 deficit around in the Africa Football League final in next weekend's second leg

Africa came to a standstill on Sunday evening when Mamelodi Sundowns and Wydad Casablanca faced-off in the African Football League final.

After a cagey opening 40 minutes, Wydad Casablanca broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute through a Rivaldo Coetzee own goal.The lead however lasted just three minutes after Anas Seerhat found the back of the net with an incredible long range strike. There were no further goals in Casablanca, with the hosts walking away with a 2-1 victory. The second leg takes place next weekend in Pretoria.
