Malome Vector's memorial service and funeral to be held in Lesotho this week
Bokang Moleli, a Lesotho-born artist who had built most of his career in South Africa, is set to be laid to rest on Saturday in his hometown, Maseru, in Lesotho. The artist, famously known as Malome Vector, died on 24 July in a car accident in Free State while he was travelling to Lesotho.was with four other people, including his artist Lizwi Wokuqala and videographer Damos, who were buried last week. Another artist, Puleng Phoofolo, sustained head injuries and is recovering at home.
“I cannot believe I am speaking of Malome Vector in the past. It feels surreal to imagine we won’t see such an amazing artist and person anymore. Vector was passionate about his craft, music was his second love after his daughter. My deepest condolences to the Moleli family, his daughter, friends and colleagues. May his soul rest in peace,” she commented.My heart is really broken. Malome Vector’s death came at a time when I don’t even have R2 in my pockets.
