Cassius Mailula is down to work at his new Major League Soccer employers with Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami headlining the list of opponents that the former Mamelodi Sundowns will come up against in the first five games.
Cassius Mailula has started training with his new MLS employers Toronto FC after moving from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mailula moved to Toronto on a deal running up to the end of 2026 with an option for a further year after only a season in the first team at Sundowns but had been attached to the club for almost a decade after arriving from Limpopo as a schoolkid. In that one year in the senior team, Mailula scored 15 goals in 31 appearances immediately attracting interest from clubs abroad.
As Mailula arrives IN North America, he will find that The Reds have lost all their last eight games and are without a win in the last 11. It is an MLS tie that could see Mailula making his debut with the list of opponents to then follow being Columbus Crew, Philadelphia Union, Vancouver Whitecaps, and Inter Miami on September 21.
