Despite these internal issues, Malema chose to focus on the positive aspect of the day: the celebration of democracy in Botswana.However, the new administration lifted the ban, signalling a shift in policy and a commitment to democracy. “Our relationship with the President of Botswana goes back a long way. We have been through many struggles together, and we would not miss the chance to stand with the people here to celebrate their democracy,” he said.

Additionally, Mpho Morolane, the former president of the EFF Student Command, also left the EFF for the MK Party.
