A new survey also revealed that over 60% of motorists believe that aggressive cyclists are more of a problem now compared to three years ago.

"The government has introduced a range of laws in recent years in an effort to fix the daily conflicts we see between motorists and cyclists," IAM RoadSmart director of policy and research Neil Greig said. Mr Greig added that there was"no quick-fix" to this issue, but that the research revealed an urgent need for the government to continue to educate people on the new Highway Code.
