The A52 Clifton Boulevard is shut westbound. National Highways say Nottinghamshire Police are on scene and will be carrying out collision investigation work.

Roads and traffic monitoring service Inrix for the reported the incident shortly after midnight. In an update at 12.44am, it said: "A52 Clifton Boulevard Westbound closed due to accident between A453 Clifton Lane and Middleton Boulevard ."

Police have not yet released any further details about the incident. A diversion has been put in place.
