ICYMI: Maimane says Ramaphosa, ANC are in for a surprise via SABCNewsOnline
says President Cyril Ramaphosa and the African National Congress are in for a surprise come May 8. Maimane believes his party will garner enough votes to unseat the governing party. There are few days left before elections and politicians are not leaving anything to chance. Maimane received a warm reception but the voters soon turned to their grievances.
“I am a graduate and I am unemployed for the past 11 years. I am voting DA. The message for me is promises, better services for us.” The Blue Party leader wasn’t going to leave the campaign without highlighting the ANC’s failures. He pointed at the embattled SOEs, saying his party would do a better job if given enough votes to run the country.
“On one side we have Mr Ramaphosa who arrives everywhere, when lights go off he is shocked. When State Capture happens he is shocked. When he sees how people live, he is shocked. He is shocked because his party brought us here. But I have one more shock for him on the 8th of May; the people of South Africa are going to give him the biggest shock of his life when they vote out his government,” says Maimane.
Maimane wrapped his campaign by sending condolences to victims of the floods in Durban and surrounding areas. But still blamed government for not providing proper housing.
