Magesi FC's search for a new head coach is underway after Clinton Larsen resigned live on television following a 3-0 defeat by Carling All Stars. Larsen had two seasons with the club, leading them to their first top-flight trophy, the Carling Knockout Cup, in a historic upset against Mamelodi Sundowns. However, he struggled in league games, with the team sitting at the bottom with only one victory in nine matches.
Management says they were shocked by Larsen's resignation and are playing their cards close to their chest regarding his successor. They expect to make an announcement in the next few days and insist Larsen was not pushed out. Magesi FC will face Orlando Pirates on Sunday at the Peter Mokaba Stadium
