Prosecutor Trott Mphalele previously argued that Nkosi was a flight risk, noting that a raid on his home uncovered six missing dockets that had effectively paralysed multiple criminal investigations. Defence attorney Hendrik Potgieter’s argument that the lower court ignored the presumption of innocence failed to sway the High Court, which upheld the original April ruling.
