Council chiefs have turned to telly stars the MacDonald Brothers in a bid to boost their Christmas celebrations in Ayr town centre.
A 'Festive Family Fun Day' will instead take place with activities centred around the foot of the town. The Cutty Sark Centre, Grain Exchange and Ayr Town Hall will all play host to events, with the MacDonald Brothers now headlining the bill. The lads shot to fame after their run in the X Factor in 2006 and have remained hugely popular ever since, enjoying a successful career in the entertainment industry.
