Considered by many as the jewel of the M6, Tebay services appears to have been snubbed in the latest round up of the UK's finest motorway stops.
But according to independent watchdog Transport Focus, that is not enough to see it named among the creme de la creme of highway toilet breaks.Moto Burton-in-Kendal has come 13th in its user survey of more than 100 service stations throughout the country - scoring a satisfaction rating of 98 per cent. Moto Rugby services on the M6 has been rated the best motorway services for the second year running, the only MSA to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
"At Moto we are setting out to Transform the UKs Rest Stop Experience through accelerated roll out of Ultra-Rapid EV Chargers, upgraded shower facilities for HGV Drivers, ultra-fast wi-fi for commuters, rolling out Changing Places for those with limited accessibility and the major refurbishments of our toilets and baby changing facilities for all.
At the other end of the scale, Lancaster South was named among the worst - tied for second-to-last-place with Bridgwater , Hartshead Moor West, and Toddington North and South .Transport Focus spoke to more than 30,000 visitors at 120 motorway services in Great Britain about their views on the toilets, customer service, value of the food and drink and electric vehicle charging facilities.
