City staff will deliver a technical briefing to councillors Wednesday afternoon “on the action plan to respond to the recommendations from the public inquiry into Stage 1 of Ottawa’s Light Rail Transit system.”
RTG’s decision to knowingly give the city inaccurate information about when the system would be finished was “unconscionable,” Hourigan said, while former mayor Jim Watson and former city manager Steve Kanellakos withholding information from council about the train’s poor performance in testing was both “willful and deliberate.”Article content
Hourigan’s 637-page report was based on testimony from more than 90 witnesses and included 19 days of public hearings in Ottawa last summer.
