Laura Whitmore and Maya Jama, who have both hosted ITV dating show Love Island, appeared to ignore each other during the BRITs despite being at the same table
The 2023 Brit Awards was full of memorable moments including Lewis Capaldi's incorrect introduction and even a nostalgic reunion between S Club 7, but two people who seemed less pleased to be in each other's company were Laura Whitmore and Maya Jama.
The two women's shared experience of both hosting Love Island didn't seem to be enough for the pair to warrant striking up a conversation. Laura hosted the series from 2020-2022, and at the time of her exit she wrote on Instagram: "There are certain elements of the show I’ve found very difficult that cannot be changed."
"Iain talked to Maya but Laura didn’t - they were almost back to back at times and still didn’t interact," the insider continued. Our insider, who was also at the O2 Arena in London, added: "It’s hard to say what happened after but they didn’t appear that friendly with each other to say the least!"
