Love Island bosses 'sign first ever partially sighted contestant' for winter series
Winter Love Island is set to kick off on 16 January, with a new line up of singletons jetting out to South Africa in the hope of finding love.
Love Island bosses have reportedly signed up Ron, 26, for the 2023 series, making him the first ever partially sighted contestant in the show's history.The Essex-based finance worker lost the sight in his right eye in a footballing accident when he was younger. He is said to currently be in quarantine in South Africa ahead of the ITV2 show's launch on 16 January.
“He’s also really open about his disability and is hoping to raise awareness and help others by discussing it on screen.” The 22 year old is a biomedical science student and is reportedly set to be one of the handful of singletons to walk into the brand new South African villa this month.
