Type 130 will be British marque's first all-new production car in 11 years.
This year's Auto Shanghai has ushered in some good news for Lotus fans with the announcement that an all-electric hypercar will be revealed near the end of 2019.
The marque's first all-new production car since 2008, the Type 130 will be"the most dynamically accomplished Lotus in our history", according to CEO Phil Popham. "It marks a turning point for our brand and is a showcase of what we are capable of and what is to come from Lotus,” Popham said. No other details were divulged about the new electric-powered speedster other than that it will be unveiled in London towards the end of the year.
