The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power star Nazanin Boniadi discusses Bronwyn's character growth over the course of season 1. Set thousands of years before the events of Peter Jackson's acclaimed The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Prime Video's new fantasy epic chronicles the rise of evil during the Second Age of Middle-earth.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Like Aragorn and Arwen in The Lord of the Rings, Bronwyn and Arondir are in the midst of a Human-Elf relationship. Bronwyn is introduced in The Rings of Power as the strong and capable mother to Theo, who attempts to warn her village in the Southlands about an Orc incursion. When nobody believes her, Bronwyn ends up coming face to face with an Orc herself, eventually decapitating it and presenting the head as proof of her claims.
"I love that scene, episode two where people don't believe her in the tavern, and then she comes back, and she slams the orc head on, you know, and it's like, 'oh, now do you believe me,' you know? It's sort of like this room filled with disbelieving people, a lot of disbelieving men, and this woman, strong woman coming in and saying, 'Here's the evidence,' and I just I find that so empowering.
What's Next For Bronwyn on The Rings Of Power? When audiences last saw Bronwyn, she is tending to the wounded after the massive volcanic eruption in the Southlands. While much of The Rings of Power episode 7 was dedicated to exploring the aftermath of the eruption, episode 6 could be a strong indicator of the role that Bronwyn will come to occupy in later episodes and seasons.
Although Bronwyn seems destined to exert more leadership over her fellow villagers, Theo could also significantly factor into her character moving forward. Recent episodes have teased that there's a certain element of darkness and violence within Theo, which could present a major challenge for Bronwyn to overcome as the story in The Rings of Power continues to unfold.
