Grand Prairie ISD will host a job fair this weekend for a variety of positions.
The district is looking for substitute teachers, childcare and after-school workers, teachers, instructional aides, cafeteria workers, bus drivers and maintenance and auxiliary workers.throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
But Grand Prairie ISD spokesman Sam Buchmeyer said the district is now in good shape and simply wants to augment its employee base. “Hiring staff is a constant process as we address open positions due to retirements, resignations as a result of life changes and, often, movement within the district,” Buchmeyer said.
The hiring fair is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at South Grand Prairie High School, 301 W. Warrior Trail.
