Margate and other areas in the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal are without electricity as flash floods caused significant damage at the weekend.

The significant damage in Margate came after the South African Weather Services the heavy downpours may result in some areas receiving rainfall accumulation of more than 200mm over 24 hours. Areas likely affected include eThekwini Metro, Umdoni, Umzumbe, and Ray Nkonyeni Local Municipalities.
