U.S. Rep. Bill Foster launched his reelection campaign Wednesday for another term in Illinois’ 11th Congressional District.
The Democrat from Naperville has represented the 11th District since 2013. He previously served the 14th Congressional District from 2008-11.Foster is being challenged in the 2024 Democratic primary by Qasim Rashid, who also lives in Naperville.
Foster said he’s serious about tackling issues like gun violence, climate change, voting rights protection, immigration reform and reproductive rights. Foster lives in Naperville with his wife, Aesook, who is also a physicist, and he has two grown children.Foster serves on the House Financial Services Committee and chairs the Financial Services Committee’s task force on artificial intelligence.
