Brett Dudley’s Antioch Panthers were too much for Monte Vista in a season opener.
After spending 12 years in Antioch’s football program as an assistant and JV coach, Brett Dudley had a memorable debut as the school’s head coach.
“I preached that delayed gratification to the kids because it’s so much work that you have to do to lead up to it, and then it’s worth it on those Friday nights, and you only get 10 of them a year,” Dudley said. “It’s a really good group of kids.” Given that Lucido was an off-campus coach, Dudley, who teaches at the school, had a lot of responsibility. Lucido always thought Dudley was the perfect on-campus presence for Antioch.
