The unveiling took place on the last day of Pride Month — and a week before the Long Beach Pride Parade & Festival.
Long Beach unveiled an even more inclusive version of its Pride crosswalks at the Broadway and Junipero Avenue intersection on Thursday. June 30 — a prelude to other initiatives and events that will further celebrate the LGBTQ community.
Long Beach will also add the new colors to the rest of the crosswalks in the Broadway corridor next week, according to a city press release.The crosswalks along the Broadway corridor, an area with historic significance for Long Beach’s LGBTQ community, have been painted in Pride colors since 2015.
