Locals are concerned

The horse, which was seen on Railway Road in Crossgates was found at the side of the road wearing a blue coat and with a broken shackle on its foot. Local resident, Thomas, sent photos to LeedsLive, saying he was concerned for the horse, wondering where it had come from.

Photos show the white horse happily grazing on some grass next to the street. A red length of plastic piping is attached to the horse's front left hoof and looks to have broken at the other end.Railway Road is adjacent to the train lines running through Crossgates. The horse was seen on the road close to the side streets of Poplar Avenue and Back Chesnut Avenue not far from the centre of the town.

It looks as if the horse has snapped the 'lead' and left a nearby field. It is not clear where the horse may have come from, but the animal was first spotted at around 1.30pm.
