That's why she supports the organization Alianza 614. It's for Latino and Hispanic families. René Olate, Alianza 614's secretary, says they focus on decreasing crime on the westside of Columbus. The pain of mothers losing their children is very, very strong. We feel like we need to have solidarity with them," said Olate. "And we also feel that we shouldn’t lose any other youth, any other children in our community. The Westside is heavily affected by gun violence, by violence, and we need to do something about it."You can be a part of that support on Saturday.
