The Dukes got off to a slow start with the Cougars taking an unanswered goal in the first period, and then another goal in the second to secure an early lead. The Cougars didn’t realize these were the only goals they’d get all night until the Dukes made a roaring comeback, starting with two goals in the second period to tie the game, with two more in the third to secure their lead and the victory.Duncan Grube, Jordan Fuller, and Joe Weber scored for the Golden Hawks.
The Golden Hawks took an early lead with an unanswered first period goal, followed by a second early in the second period. The Menace tried to come back with a second, but the Golden Hawks grabbed one more goal to keep the lead, and held onto it for the rest of the game.
