Aspirants who defeated incumbent candidates now face the task of reaching out to their opponents to ensure a smooth transition of leadership in their respective local governments.
This includes incoming Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto who won against outgoing Mayor Robert Eusebio with a landslide lead of 87,814 votes during the May 13 polls.
The 29-year-old Sotto earlier said that Eusebio has the right to file a protest, although, Sotto said, Eusebio will be the one who will be put to shame and not them. Meanwhile, as the date for the official oath-taking of the new set of Pasig City leaders is nearing, Sotto said he will work with Eusebio to ensure the “smooth transition” of power in the city hall.
