The Lions ran out 3-2 winners at Easter Road

Livingston picked up their first win of the Premiership season and heaped more misery on Hibs in the process with a richly deserved 3-2 victory at Easter Road.

Despite a poor showing, Hibs dragged themselves back level on 61 minutes when Martin Boyle latched onto a throw-in, cut inside and slammed high beyond Shamal George. Parity, though, was short-lived as Bruce Anderson nodded into the net at the back post a minute later. Hibs had barely crossed the halfway line by the time the Lions opened the scoring on eight minutes. Joel Nouble's wonderful ball sent Penrice clear down the left flank with his ball across goal being turned home at the back post. Whether the final touch came from Scott Pittman or Obita mattered little as the visitors got their noses in front.

Hibs enjoyed plenty of the ball but Livi simply refused to be breached while in an attacking sense Nouble produced his best performance for months with the home defenders clueless as to how to deal with him. It looked like they may pay for that as Hibs levelled things up just after the hour mark in frustratingly simple fashion as a throw-in found Boyle. He duly raced beyond a defender before cutting inside and blasting high into the roof of the net.
