[ICYMI] LIVESTREAM: DPWI Minister and Deputy Minister deliver Budget Vote speeches
The minister will then host a media briefing session to outline achievements and the key programmes of the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure as part of the Department's roadmap to greater heights.
Minister Zikalala and Deputy Minister Bernice Swarts are expected to outline progress on strategic infrastructure projects, new approaches to infrastructure maintenance, as well as, issues around land distribution and expropriation. They will speak to new approaches to address challenges associated with accommodation for public representatives and provide an update on integrated renewable energy and Resource Efficiency Programme to assist in solving the countries energy crisis.
The Department will also address progress in making South Africa a hydrogen economic hub, borders and points of entry security issues, reloaded efforts to unleash the Oceans economy, mass employment creation, and the construction mafia.
