Liverpool will face Everton after the international break
Liverpool player who was involved in an ugly brawl against Everton could return to the side for the upcoming Merseyside Derby.Defender Andy Robertson was forced off with a suspected dislocated shoulder during Scotland’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Spain on Thursday night.During last season’s Merseyside Derby at Anfield, Tsimikas was in the middle of a brawl between the two sets of players.
After Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford barged into Robertson, the two sets of players began a heated altercation. As things began to calm, Everton winger Demarai Gray felt a shove in his back, which was from a steward. However, as Gray saw Tsimikas closest to him, he thought the Greek was the culprit and therefore gave the Liverpool substitute a shove.Toffees midfielder Amadou Onana then joined in as Tsimikas defended himself before being dragged away by fitness coach Andreas Kornmayer. The likes of Virgil van Dijk and Darwin Nunez were also involved but Tsimikas’ return to the bench brought things to an end.
