Divock Origi became a Liverpool hero through scoring a collection of important goals in the club's recent history
Liverpool legend Steve Nicol believes the club's former striker Divock Origi was a "garbage" footballer - despite his knack of scoring goals on the biggest occasions.
The 2018/19 campaign was a particularly memorable one for the striker - scoring an ijury-time winner against Everton in the Merseyside derby in front of the Kop, coming into a makeshift forward line to score twice in the famous Champions League comeback against Barcelona, and lastly sealing the trophy against Tottenham Hotspur with a goal in the final weeks later.
However the 28-year-old's important contributions have not made him exempt from a shock outburst, courtesy of Reds legend of the 80s and 90s Steve Nicol. "Did he score a goal? Yes, he did," said Nicol. "That’s what the guy did at Liverpool. He never saw the field until the last 5-10 minutes, and yes, he had a habit of scoring big goals.
