While the Reds struggled to carve out any serious openings at Illan Meslier's goal, Leeds continued to look lively going forward with Brendon Aaronson and Luis Sinisterra seeing a lot of the ball. Four minutes later, Liverpool were two goals to the good when Salah sent a powerful finish past Meslier after some good work by Jota in the build-up.
Leeds' joy was short-lived though as Jota restored Liverpool's two goal on 51 minutes with a neat finish over Meslier after a superb through-ball by Curtis Jones.
