Liverpool have dropped to eighth spot on the Premier League table after playing to a goalless draw against Chelsea on Tuesday night. SLInt MORE:
Jurgen Klopp made six changes from the big defeat to Manchester City, as Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson, Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliot were dropped.
The hosts had the first real opening on 12 minutes when Ben Chilwell broke free down the left and did well to tee up Kai Havertz, who was denied by a point-blank save from Alisson Becker. Liverpool had been quiet for most of the half, but they went agonisingly close to breaking the deadlock before the break as Fabinho's volley was deflected inches wide by Fofana.
Klopp eventually looked to his bench after 64 minutes as Salah and Robertson replaced Roberto Firmino and Konstantinos Tsimikas, as they visitors pushed for an opening goal.
