King Charles thanked the nation shortly after a minute silence was held across the UK to remember the Queen.King Charles has said he is "moved beyond measure" by messages of condolences as the nation prepares to bid a final farewell to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
In a statement issued on Sunday evening, the monarch said "as we all prepare to say our last farewell" he wanted to offer his gratitude to "all those countless people who have been such a support and comfort to my Family and myself in this time of grief". Ahead of the funeral, thousands of people queued through central London to visit her coffin in Westminster Hall.
