Thousands of runners are set to take part in the popular Mash Direct Belfast City Half Marathon today.
The race will use more of the greenway, instead of Sydenham Bypass, before travelling through Victoria Park and into the Titanic Quarter.This year there will be a number of changes to the race due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II, whose funeral will take place on Monday, September 19. There will be a reduction in supporter stations and materials used at these points, the removal of the official warm up, and a period of silence at the start of the race as a mark of respect.
