Some 5,000 homes and businesses across Dallas-Fort Worth were without power early Thursday afternoon due to blustery winds.
The low Friday morning is forecast in the single digits, but with the wind chill, it could feel like minus-5 to minus-10 degrees.that crippled the state’s power system, but Allison Prater, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said it is forecast to be shorter and less extreme with very little chance of precipitation in North Texas.
