UPDATE | President Cyril Ramaphosa will at 19:00 announce changes to his executive
A statement read:
South Africa will have a new deputy president, it’s first-ever electricity minister, new transport as well as Public Service and Administration ministers among other changes. News24 has reliably learnt that a mere 18 months after scrapping the minister of intelligence position and assuming oversight responsibility for the SSA, Ramaphosa is"strongly considering" reintroducing the intelligence ministry - with Cele at its helm. Well, apparently it was because President Cyril Ramaphosa had a cold.
The final consultations were set to occur at Mahlamba Ndlopfu - the president's official residence in Pretoria. Two insiders close to discussions said that ANC officials were told that Ramaphosa had a cold and that the talks had been indefinitely called off.
